Find the gap in 60 seconds.
Three quick problems. If your student misses one, the wrong answer tells Jeremy exactly which earlier skill is missing. Most math trouble starts there.

A teacher first, and a local.
I started at College of the Canyons, earned my math degree and teaching credential at UC Irvine, and my master's at San Diego State, where I guest-lectured precalculus to rooms of about 150 students. Then I came home and taught math at Hart High School and Academy of the Canyons.
I've tutored more than 50 students privately. Many of those students found me through the Learning Center at College of the Canyons, where I tutored for several years. Most of the rest came from word of mouth: one family telling another.

- Upcoming tests and what to practice
- The next session time, confirmed

Drag the red point to move the parabola, and use + and − to stretch it. Below it, see how Jeremy marks up the most common Algebra 1 mistake.
Then the gap gets fixed, in red pen.
This is the most common Algebra 1 mistake Jeremy sees. It costs points on nearly every test until someone catches it. One session usually does.
